STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Primary School
We have a very pro-active Learning Support Team in the Primary School which supports students, their teachers and families through the assessment and identification of the social, emotional and academic needs of students.
The Learning Support Team consists of a group of teachers, providing support in the following areas:
A referral process is used to determine which of the above support is required by a student. This is done in collaboration and consultation with the classroom teacher, learning support team and parents. Every effort is made to consider the needs of each of our students.
Secondary School
A team of faculty members supports students, their teachers, and families through assessment and identification of the social and academic needs. In the Secondary School this is called Learning Support.
The Learning Support Team also includes both Deputy Principals. Students can be allocated time with any of the specialist teachers after consultation with the Learning Support Team and class/homeroom teachers. The ESL teachers work as part of the English Department. A variety of teaching and guidance methods are available to manage and assist students who require support with learning, English language and counseling.
The faculty members of the Learning Support Programs Team identify the best possible delivery mode to assist the students with their individual and programming needs.
